Ronin

Manufacturer: La Chance

Inspired by Japanese construction methods and based on Danish traditions in craftsmanship a clean oak frame is created, which relates to the traditional peasant chair and at the same time poses a caricatured version of the originally used sticks used originally through its facetted surfaces. The curved backrest and seat meets the body, and distinguishes itself from the frame, through its soft and accommodating shapes. The graphical element of the chair is emphasized by the use of black oil to capture the effect of light and shadow to highlight the facets. The backrest draws subtle lines to the helmet of the samurai or the arch of the samurai sword. rōnin emerges as a strong and graphical chair without losing its references to the stick chair type.
